BBBSOLA Releases New 5 year Strategic Plan

March 24th, 2016

Big Brothers Big Sisters of London & Area releases Strategic Plan 2016-2021

As the leader in mentoring, Big Brothers Big Sisters of London and Area (BBBSOLA) is proud to announce the release of its Strategic Plan for the next five years.

The process began in the summer of 2015 with a number of consultation sessions with staff, board, stakeholders and partners. The responses were collected and resulted in the foundation. This foundation was used in a number of strategic sessions which resulted in five priorities and goal statements that will be put into action immediately:

  1. People- develop inclusive environment that promotes the development of relationships in order to create agency advocates

  2. Funding- ensure long-term sustainability through diversification and growth of funding sources

  3. Impact- maximize our impact in both quantity and quality of service.

  4. Collaboration- expand our collaborative outreach to continually improve our community impact.

  5. Voice- the community know who we are and supports what we do

This process would not have been possible without the honest and open feedback from our stakeholders and community partners. BBBSOLA CEO Matthew Chater shared, “ the strategic planning process has provided us with a deeper understanding for what it take to be successful in the future and will be instrumental in guiding our decisions and our direction.”

Board President, Trev McAninch, “The launch of the 2016-2021 strategic plan provides an exciting and refocused platform for BBBSOLA. It allows us to continue providing meaningful mentoring connections to our community’s children and youth.”
