Passing of Betty Ann Widdrington

It is with great sadness that Big Brothers Big Sisters of London and Area has learned of the passing of Betty Ann Widdrington.

Our organization is honoured to have known Betty Ann and been encouraged by her for over twenty years. As a leader on our Board of Directors at Big Sisters,  Betty Ann used her voice to speak up for girls in our community, including through integral support and guidance with a capital campaign that allowed Big Sisters of London to move into the Betty Ann and Peter Widdrington Big Sister House.

Since the end of her tenure on the Board of Directors, Betty Ann’s continued dedication has ensured that thousands of girls and boys received quality mentoring relationships in London-Middlesex.

It is with great sympathy that we extend condolences to Betty Ann’s family and friends, and give our immense appreciation for the generosity that has been shown these last few days towards Big Brothers Big Sisters of London and Area in her honour. We are committed to continuing the important work that Betty Ann so greatly believed in and helped establish.
